Why an empty Focus is a valid day

Why an empty Focus is a valid day

Focus is a shortlist of liquid leaders in strong themes and hot sectors. It is not a list of instructions.

Some days the structure is not there. Ranges are wide, themes are mixed, or the names that look strong fail the tighter checks the desk uses. In those cases the list stays empty or stays short. That is a valid day.

Passing is part of the process. An empty Focus means the desk did not force a name just to fill the page. You still open the brief, you still look at the tape, and you still journal the pass. The next day the list can be full again.

The market moves in setups. We find those setups. When none meet the bar, the correct action is to wait. You decide what to do with the names that do appear. The desk does not place the order.

Process note. No entry recipes. No book names. You decide and you execute.
