The journal is where you log the idea, the pass, or the trade. Process first. Logging only the trades that work gives the desk half the picture.

A pass is data. It shows which structures you left and why. Over weeks that record helps the desk see adherence and refine the shortlist. Friday, Atlas, and Sparks read it. They do not place the order.

After the session, open the journal. Tag the idea, the pass, or the trade. Note why the structure was or was not there. Review periodically. Process over outcomes.
